Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago A SCORELESS 1st!! A SCORELESS 1st!!! No walks, no hits, and no HRs with multiple Red dudes on base!!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago That was an embarrassingly bad challenge.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago So we've already have two GiDPs plus an ABS challenge that was both wrong and in a wrong situation to use it (bases empty, scoreless game, 2nd inning, 2-1 count) and it only took five batters into the game. to achieve all that.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Four of the first eight batters reach base and yet none have managed to reach 2nd yet. These kind of oddities are tough to do and yet we manage to do them on a nearly daily basis. oe: and now a Sac Bunt by the 9th hitter of the game moves a runner to 2nd

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago When McLean strikes out a guy to end the inning, he walks off the mound with a deGromian authority. Especially when he dots a corner with a called strike three. It's a shame that Hernandez is not a soccer fan, as Spain has one of the top two or three men's teams in the world, and are probably alone atop of the women's national teams.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Also, Viento's sac fly should have advanced all three runners.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Amazing inning in that all three Reds outfielders have looked like high schoolers.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago I don't know if six innings is it for Nolan McLean, even taking into account the threat the last inning, this has probably been his best game as a big-leaguer. Centerfield 1

This is great to hear. His control is good?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago VERY good. Just dotted the corner for strike three in the seventh. When he has been off the plate, it seems to be less wildness, and more setting up the next pitch.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 26 minutes ago Posted 26 minutes ago Short (now 0-for-3 with a sacrifice) is wearing #40. That number belongs on the back of a pitcher who somehow gets it done without a fastball. Pat Zachry. Bartolo Colon. Jeff Innis. Come one, Mets! Call me! No shortstop is going to prosper with a 40 on his back!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 17 minutes ago Posted 17 minutes ago Marcus Semien, who has played 658 2/3 out of 659 2/3 (99.85%) of all innings at second for the Mets this season, just sat down to give Baty the last two innings.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 11 minutes ago Posted 11 minutes ago Everyone in the hit column but Shortcake, and he comes up this inning.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
