Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Author Posted October 5, 2025 Most if not all of us likely missed this late start Game 1 of this series which was won by the Tigers 3-2 in 11 innings. And when I heard the result this morning it took a minute to remind myself that this was an actual extra inning game rather than a fake extra inning game.Tigers won on a two-out single. And now, in order for the Mariners to even up the series, they're going to have to go through Tarik Skubal to do so.Luis Castillo (no, not that one) is on the mound for Seattle.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2025 Author Posted October 5, 2025 Mariners win 3-2. Series tied 1-1Runs scored = 5-5Yanx/Jays runs scored = 31

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Tigers/Mariners in the 11th. Amazing how good baseball can be without the idiotic free runner.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Preach on. You know. Watching these games makes me realize that the Mets pitching staff was no where near good enough to play in October. Like not close.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2025 Author Posted October 11, 2025 I had a lot of day yesterday and so couldn't hang with this game; I cashed it in after 8 and taped the rest hoping to catch up this morning.Except that I didn't plan for far enough out so my recording ran out after 12 and I had to 'read all about it in the papers' as they used to say.Was kind of pulling for Seattle so it's all good.So my current brilliant idea (just the latest in a long string of them) is if this winds up Seattle/Milwaukee, not only will it be a match-up of two never-winnersbut, in a nod to the birth of the Brewers franchise, for the games played in Seattle the Brews need to be dressed in road Seattle Pilots unis. This, in my mind, is non-negotiable.
