Detroit manager to team: "OK, we finally got that damn McLean out of the game--let's gang up on this bullpen and score a TON of runs!!! Let's GO, boys!!!"

Didn't realize this was a 6:40 first pitch so it took me 7 full innings to catch up to real time.

So in my version of tonight's game the Mets still scored the same amount of runs but they did so more quickly.

Did anyone figure why McN-DH, and Baty-2B, and Vientos-3B?

Also, did anyone comment on this being a rematch of 1968 World Series, with Gipson facing McLean?

Brian Keith was likely not of Welsh ancestry. He was the son of actor Robert Keith, who was born Rolland Keith Richey and adopted Robert Keith as a stage name.

Richey most likely suggests Irish ancestry.

Richey most likely suggests Irish ancestry.

Brian Keith's stepmother was Peg Entwistle, the actress famous for committing suicide by jumping off the Hollywood Sign

Kinda heard Gary mention something about it but I remember hating Paddack as a Padre. I think he did something dickheady.

Actually, he was the WASPiest of WASPs. Maybe that's "no ethnicity"?
