Seeing Pop, who was born in Canada, made me think of an off day trivia question.

Three Canadian pitchers have appeared in the same major league game for the same team only once.

Who were they?

What was the team they pitched for?

extra credit: What was the year?

The problem with me and Canadian players is every time I try to think of one I just think of Expos.

I have no chance at this question. The only actual Canadian pitcher I know is Eric Gagne. So I'll guess that he was one of the pitchers. The team, the Dodgers. Year, 2001.

Fergie and Eric were both Canadian, but neither was part of the answer to this question.

Nope, but one of the teams Bedard pitched for is one of the answers.

Still no winners.

Hint: you may find some help in the UMDB.

Another hint: at least one of the pitchers was a Met.

Another hint: another of the pitchers was a Met during part of his career.

In absence of any requests for an answer, here it is:

Ron Taylor, Ken Mackenzie (The other ex-Met) and Claude Raymond appeared in the same game for the Houston Astros in 1965.

I remember seeing a picture of the three of them holding up a (then new) maple leaf Canadian flag.

Thank you for playing.

Ben, you can pick up your box of Rice-A-Roni at the front desk.
