Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Kodai Senga vs the crumbum of the day. In a 3 game series against this team the Mets should win at least four games.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Roku gameAnthony Senzatella on the hill for the Rockies. He instills fear in no one

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Weird start to the game. First Rockies hitter called out for clock violation. Then second hitter, Rockies shortstop Tovar, hits a "ghost fork" out to left field to put the Rockies up 1-0 early.According to Gary's call, it is only the second HR off the ghost fork in Senga's career.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Check out Sam Hilliard. I hadn't realized that homer he hit yesterday was his first plate appearance of the season, and now he's rocking the rare, perfect 5.000 OPS.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Check out the New York Mets. Loading the bases without making an out.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Bases loaded for Pete in the home half of the 1st.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Baty with a bases clearing triple. Rockies CF made poor play on what appeared to be a deep sac fly off the bat.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 I just hit a jackpot on draft kings. Not related but....
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 I was yelling 'INSIDE THE PARK' as soon as Baty's hit bounced away from the CF, but nice backup by the LF so he had no shot.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Looking forward to a 36-9 win ... or at least 32-9, because the Mets wouldn't bat in the bottom of the ninth.Baty didn't seem to hit his stride until rounding first, although he may have been held up by Soto holding.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Mickey Moniak (full name: McKenzie Matthew Moniak)Just turned 27, this former 1/1 draft pick out of a California HS by the Phils in the 2016 draft is now in his 3rd organization after being traded once (for the decaying corpse of Noah Syndergaard) and released once (by Anaheim!!). He's now batting 9th on maybe the worst team ever with a 78 OPS+Just goes to show you: Ya never know.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Nimmo kaboom!!!Soto Kaboom!!!Back to back jacks.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Alvarez needs to sit for a bit. He takes home run swings at everything.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Senga has been feeling like deGrom of late — a guy with an impossibly low ERA, but deployed infrequently enough and gingerly enough, and supported weakly enough, that he could never be the sure thing on the mound that his general excellence would suggest. So I am very happy to see him getting the big support and locking it down here. Seventeen in a row!

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Senga on cruise control. Has retired 17 Rockies in a row after giving up the HR to the second batter of the game.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Whew! Butto in relief of Senga escapes a jam. Mets lead 7-2 going to the home half of the seventh.
