G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Mets try to make the most out of their final road game before their Home Opener. Clay Holmes versus Connor Gillispie, 4:40 PM, SNY.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Full plate of afternoon baseball this chilly Wednesday in Nueva York.

roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Flipflopping Winker and Vientos? What's up with that? Also, batting your DH 8th? I thought your DH was supposed to be a good hitter.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Holmes with third inning problems. He's moving from relieving to starting. Is it mental or physical?Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 The bats and the gloves are abandoning us early this season.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Nimmo seems like he has committed to letting that beard grow.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 The Mets look worse than Zimmo's beard and that's saying something 😕

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Watching this team hit is like watching old people fuck
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Nimmo's beard isn't bad. He no longer looks like the old squeaky clean Brandon, but that's OK.Senga's chin patch on the other hand ...

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Hayden, that smelled triply.I get why you stopped, of course.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Marlins burning their lone lefty in the sixth against the leadoff batter. That is something.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 The umpire had to "do a little Fred Asparagus"?How is there a Keith-ism I have not heard before?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 The hitting will likely come around, but this may be something like the defense we can expect to see.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Very frustrating Senga and Holmes have a ways to go
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Winker's walk (now erased by a GiDP) was the Mets 18th of the young season. But Alonso (4) and Soto (6) have 10 of them.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 The Mets are playing like it's 1964. They have found numerous ways to lose thus far. No hitting, beyond Soto. The defense has been gifting base runners and runs to the opposition. They definitely need to wake up and get their heads out of their butts.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 The chestplate lettering on these road grays wouldn't be that bad, but they are so dwarfed by the numbers.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Torrens should have plowed the catcher there. It IS permitted even under the new rules if the catcher has the ball and is blocking the plate.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 And that was one too many pitches to hit.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Alonso is carrying this sorry club
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Pete was pretty damn sure that one was gone for a ball that just barely snuck over the fence.
