I'm only asking in this case because McKeon (and one other Marlins manager) had non-consecutive tenures as Marlins managers.

So far you've missed McKeon twice

Mattingly was 17. I associate his tenure with the awful Jeterification of the franchise --- that is the aesthetic and philistine ruination of the stadium and disappearing the art deco neon uniforms and outfield pop art sculpture.

The Marlins executed a brilliant and beautiful rebranding in 2012 and that fucking Jeter destroyed it to put his own bland vanilla face on the franchise.

I wouldn't have guessed this but Mattingly managed almost twice as many games as any other Marlin skipper

11 is not correct

I seem to recall #15 or 16 being Dan something. He was a front office guy with no experience that took the helm and that ruffled some feathers.

John Boles was the guy I've been trying to think of. That's gotta be him in the 2007-2010 slot (#10)

The novelty of him was that he was a nerdy front office type who became the first manager to have never played professional ball on any level.

Marshmallow is crushing this quiz

Boles is the other guy with 2 tenures as Marlins manager but neither one was 07-10. I'm giving you the first reign

Dan something is right but 16 not 15.

Joe Girardi was number nine, but his testosterone-fueled style was too attractive to the Yankees, who invoked their eminent domain rights and seized him up.

Oops! I knew that. Good correction.

Mike Redmond, another one of the former-catcher-turned-managers should be #15.

Redmond is a guy I'd completely forgotten.

It really seemed like the Yankees directed that Girardi get experience in Miami

I have a soft spot for the Marlins. I was able to see their first two games, and one of the World Series games. They train in Jupiter, where my parents live, so I get to see them in spring training or the Jupiter Hammerheads, their Florida State League team. We get to go to a game in Miami once in a while - usually when the Mets are there. Plus, they generally pose no threat to the Mets - with notable exceptions.

They do run through managers. They actually had Brandon Hyde for a bit. Lucky for the orioles. I think he was No. 13.
