It never made sense for Adames to move off of SS. His value comes from playing that position. He doesn't really hit well enough to be an elite 3B.



I wonder about his production going from Milwaukee to SF. Kinda feels like a situation where he loses a few HR to the dimensions, starts overswinging, then goes downhill.

Thirdbasemen have indeed outhit their shortstop siblings traditionally, but that's been less pronounced over the last generations, and suddenly last year, shortstops passed the thirdbasemen like the latter were standing still.

So much for getting power from the corners and defense up the middle. I mean, I guess it makes sense if you think about guys like Lindor, Witt, Seager or Gunnar Henderson.
