MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Alex Ramirez was signed as a five tool player. They never developed. Now he's just holding one tool.Too bad.I hope some other organization can unlock that talent.Buena suerte.Later
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Why would you nontender Ramirez? How much could that have been?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Space on the 40
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 One non-tender from another team I'd keep an eye on is Hoby Milner. Stearns had a hand in his arrival in Milwaukee, and the difference in his last two seasons probably had more to do with luck than anything else. His FIPs over the last three years have been remarkably consistent (3.16, 3.13, 3.14), and desirable for a cheap lefty arm.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Please call up the Mets and get them all over that. Milner's got a funky delivery and his father was a big-leaguer.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Kinda want Young back. He was decent enough. Good to see Reid-Foley back.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Per Will Sammon, Alex Ramirez is back with the Mets on a minor league deal. The move freed up room on the 40 man roster.
