Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Game 2: Presumptive AL Cy Young Winner Tarik Skubal pitched 7 scoreless for the Tigers…who were also held scoreless.Tigers hit a 3 run homer off Clase (47 Saves,0.61 ERA this year) in the top of the 9th.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Author Posted October 9, 2024 Back to back shutouts for the Tigers gives them a 2 games to one lead. So among the division winners this year.- Houston is gone, Milwaukee is gone- and the Dodgers, Guardians, and Phillies are all on the brinkThe only division king not on the brink are the Yanx and they could be before the night is over. Good thing all those teams had home field advantage, eh?(Combined 4-7 so far)
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Go Cleveland!I so want a Mets/Guardians WS
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2024 Author Posted October 11, 2024 (edited) As noted in another thread, the time of Saturday's deciding game in Cleveland has been moved up to 1 PM.CY front runner (read: Lock) Tarik Skubal takes the mound for the upstart Tigers. But if he wins that means he may only get one start in the ALCS vs the Yanx which, y'know, will suck.So go [CROSSOUT]In[/CROSSOUT] Guardians! Edited October 11, 2024 by Guest

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 7-3 is your final. The Tigers magical run comes to an end. You're a team of destiny until suddenly you're not. Mets take note.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 So what would be worse for Yankee fans: Losing to Cleveland and not even making it to the WS or winning the pennant and then losing to the Mets?
