In contrast to what often seems to be the case, the Mets DID make efficient use of their baserunners on Saturday night: eleven baserunners, seven runs

- four of the five hits drove in a run or runs

- four of the five to reach on a hit wound up scoring themselves

- one of the three who reached on a walk scored, as did the one of the two who reached via an error, as did the lone HBP



In non-scoring innings the Mets went 1-2-3 in four of them, and 1-2-3 interrupted by only a solo HR in two more

Catching up on some games.



This was excellent. I'm sold on Peterson, he might have turned the corner. For the longest time he looked like a first round letdown, and at times it was easy to forget he was a first rounder at all. But he's now living up to that first round pedigree.



He's not free agent-eligible until 2027, which is excellent if he can keep up his performance in the years to come.
