Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 In contrast to what often seems to be the case, the Mets DID make efficient use of their baserunners on Saturday night: eleven baserunners, seven runs- four of the five hits drove in a run or runs- four of the five to reach on a hit wound up scoring themselves- one of the three who reached on a walk scored, as did the one of the two who reached via an error, as did the lone HBPIn non-scoring innings the Mets went 1-2-3 in four of them, and 1-2-3 interrupted by only a solo HR in two more

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Catching up on some games. This was excellent. I'm sold on Peterson, he might have turned the corner. For the longest time he looked like a first round letdown, and at times it was easy to forget he was a first rounder at all. But he's now living up to that first round pedigree. He's not free agent-eligible until 2027, which is excellent if he can keep up his performance in the years to come.
