Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 At 0-for-13 in the series thus far -- high-lighted by the dopey bunt decision -- Kelenic hasn't done much to instill any trade regret among Met fans.

With Nunez out, we need all the quality arms we can get in the bullpen. Hopefully, we can acquire a quality starter before the deadline. If not, possibly another bullpen pitcher to take Butto's place. No matter how good Butto has been in the bullpen, he would have a lot more value as a starter. He had 7 starts last year and another 7 this year and looked quite good. Megill now has 61 starts in the majors and has had more than ample opportunities. He is not a good option to keep starting games. Maybe it's not a strict role swap per se, but with Senga and Scott out, Butto should certainly be starting over Megill.

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Just watched this one.You knew it was going to be a bad game because Tylor Megill was pitching.
