The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Martinez is 3-4 tonight with a grand slam. So they send in JD (Just Don't) Stewart (and his .179 BA) up to pinch hit for him. I just don't understand that decision at all.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Come on Diekman, pretend it's the Yankees. You can do this.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 This game has been a slog since Senga went down.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Just need one more out. Then it's party time!!!

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 2nd place and wild card 1. Time to stare down the Phillies The Mets could get an SP by trade about now
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Just watched this one. Bummer about Senga. Cool grand slam by JD Martinez. Now that the Mets have Maton and Stanek, hopefully they can fool someone into trading for Diekman, he's awful. And not even Ottavino awful, in that he is streaky and is sometimes really good and sometimes really bad. He's just really bad. Since June 1, his ERA is 8.03.
