Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 I wouldn't have guessed Carroll would still be batting leadoff. But maybe if I was an Arizona fan, I wouldn't have guessed Lindor would still be batting leadoff.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Author Posted May 30, 2024 As horrible as Carroll has been this year he is showing signs of going on a heaterJust not tonightI half expected Iglesias at short tonight

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Wow, Gallen out after six pitches!! That's not even enough to be a half pint.My money is on strained groin.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Author Posted May 30, 2024 Bryce Jarvis coming on to pitchHe was a 2020 first round pick

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Author Posted May 30, 2024 I vaguely remember Kevin but not if you didn't bring it up Mets need to jump on this guy

Jane Jarvis I remember.Don't forget Justin Jarvis, who the Mets got in a trade for Mark Canha. He's pitching for Binghamton tonight, and has given up one hit in 5 IP (so far). The only reason I remembered him is because Alvarez is catching him and I checked in on the game.Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Marte fails to pick a ball up cleanly for like the 27th time this season.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 A powerful night for guys named Francisco.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 My theory is that Straw's homer scraped the inflatable roof, which was on top of the stadium for the first time ever that game, and might have gone out had the roof been absent. Also, Gary says that nobody had ever hit the face of the ring before, but Kingman did.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Scottie makes it through five. Let's get him a lead.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Mets offense has the GiDP working nicely.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Author Posted May 30, 2024 Not a great outing by Scott but decent. You can see the ceiling
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Informal poll: Tied after 7, do the Mets* Lose by 4 runs?* Lose by 5 runs?* Lose by 6 runs?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 BB to lead off top 9 ... And so it begins.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 We were at the Syracuse Mets game and missed most of this, though we heard Lindor's game tying ribbie on the drive home and caught the decisive HR after we got back.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Made a winner out of Broadway Danny Young
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Young is unblemished at 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA.
