kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 It would be kinda fun to light Ranger up with like 8 runs in 3 2/3's.To sleep, perchance to dream...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Ranger Suarez is a good pitcher. But I would've never believed he was 7-0 / 1.50 kinda good.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Can we just declare Vientos our offensive MVP right now?
Bob Alpacadaca Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Those conditions look brutal!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Author Posted May 15, 2024 Pete gets through the mud to third
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Today's word to describe the Mets will be "dreary." I repeat, "dreary."
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Thought Pete's ball was going to go ... then I thought he get a single and be out at 2nd ... turned out he wound up on 3rd.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 whoever wrote "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" should re-think that title.Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I didn't see if Pete changed his shirt after his first base dive on defense last inning.Cuz if he did change he's going to have to do so again after this half.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Realmuto doesn't look like Realmuto back there.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 When I see someone in the Philly lineup named Rojas, I think of Cookie Rojas.Later

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Lou Casey in the midst of his one bad inning which he has seemingly every game out.And the Mets staff having their usual inning where we don't even make the opposition earn their way on.And, of course, the offense has two runs despite 4 hits, 2 walks and two Philly errors. Why? 1/6 w/RiSP of course.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Just put 'em on anyway you can.The important part is that you hand them free baserunners.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Considering that a one run deficit is usually an insurmountable hill these days, these tack-on runs we're handing them are essentially meaningless.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 (edited) I disappear for a few and what do I come back to but a very dreary score. Edited May 15, 2024 by Guest
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Ruh roh - didn't realize I was a full 3 innings behind. It was just 2-1 Mets and now all of a sudden it ain't. Dammit
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 It was only just a question of whether getting the first two runners on was going to be followed by GiDP then K or K then GIDP
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 On what planet was that 'definitive evidence'?What replay proponents swore would NEVER happen now happens nightly.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Oh good, another fucking walk!!!!But at least it didn't load the bases ... oh wait! But at least it wasn't then followed by an error ... oh wait!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Keith: "Mets playing their poorest game of the season"I'm not sure it's their poorest one this week!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Friday: L, 2 runs (one of which was essentially on diffensive indifference) on 4 hitsSaturday: L, 2 hits after getting no hit and shut out for 8-2/3Sunday: W via miracle comebackMonday: L, an actual lead which should have been bigger due to 1/11 w/RiSP, and then a blown late leadTuesday: L, shutout, 4 hits, perfect game'd thru fiveWednesday: L, no earned runs thru 7, ... some meaningless garbage time hits starting to show upBut other than this they're playing quite well.
