ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2024 Author Posted May 2, 2024 Diaz leaves and Danny Young gets knocked right out of the gateKeep it 6-5
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 I question bringing a sidearming lefty in to make his MLB debut in this situation with multiple righties coming up to the plate.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Just a headscratcher of a day behind the plate for Chad Fairchild.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Narváez got him twice. Let's not be silly.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Now we have to get that run back. Brett Baty is our free runner.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Mets now on their third designated hitter.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Francisco Lindor making a really solid bid to wrap up May's Bench Player of the Month early.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Maybe. Big win anyway. Losing 3 of 4 at home to the Cubs would have put me in a bad mood for a week or two

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Just finished watching (well, at least part of it*) and that game was ... something?* So I'm watching via delay when suddenly (around top 4) my stream loses a connection and before reappearing a few minutes later ... in the 7th inning!!!!I went from down 1-0 to a 5-5 tie and missed everything in between. I backed up about 20 minutes, enough to see the Mets make it 5-5 from 4-5 butdidn't want to see the three innings I missed having already known the result (watching them go down 4-0 would have REALLY put me in a bad mood). So I essentially just saw from the 8th inning on although that turned out to take well over an hour.I have to now go back and reconstruct the nine runs that I missed. That's never happened to me before on the stream but I know the fault wasn't at my end.Great win though:- Marte with two great throws- Baty - multiple nice defensive plays- Narvaez - two great tags- Lindor - four RBIs in a game he didn't start- Nimmo tying hit- Bader winning run- Diaz two innings... and that's just the parts I sawWe're gonna need a big delivery from the folks at Schaefer
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Load is a little lighter when you don't need beer for the starting pitcher.
