I like that McAndrew was part of the story in both 1969 and 1973, with his career starting in 1968 and ending in 1974.



Nice timing.



Is he the only 1969-er (not counting coaches) who had a son play MLB ball?

One of the UMDB memories was from a guy who says his father was also from Lost Nation and adds

that McAndrew was in a HS graduating class of nine! Basically there's a decent chance that your local

supermarket is on a plot of land larger than L.N., at least the 'town' itself. The postmaster there (she's

the one that took the linked picture ... she wasn't very busy) told us the population was around 450-500

before adding 'but of course that includes those in the surrounding area too'.
