G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2024 Author Posted April 8, 2024 Yohan Ramirez DFA'd in favor of Cole Sulser.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 "We were coming up short in relievers whose names sound like they're cowboys, and Cole Sulser fits that need to a tee."

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 No, I think what would happen is the new team would pay him the major league minimum ($750,000?) and the Mets would be on the hook for the rest.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 That would be the case if he gets released, and the Mets haven't done that — at least not yet.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Maybe he slides into Syracuse's rotation to build arm strength

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 I'm into guys who get Rule V'd away, but the team keeps track of with an eye toward acquisition further down the line.
