metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Kershaw rocked in the first for 6 runs , looks shot Bob Costas and Ron Darling on the call....
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2023 Author Posted October 7, 2023 Carroll just homered of one Emmett Sheehan, 7-0
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2023 Author Posted October 8, 2023 This thread like Kershaw is shot

But it's Sunday so MLB is running away from football. The NL is also the FOX series and I suspect that FOX didn't want to compete with themselves (NFL on FOX opposite MLB on FS1)

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 MLB app shows this game and Phils/Braves both on TBS. Who picks up the Dodgers game while PHI/ATL is still on?

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Outman may have just saved the Dodgers season with that catch, holy crap.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 There were some empty seats at the first game, but TV just showed a TON of empty seats for this game.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2023 Author Posted October 9, 2023 Have to say I like Bob and Ron calling games , easy flow

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 I thought TBS used to have Ernie Johnson as their lead play-by-play announcer for the playoffs, typically paired with Ron.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Great trivia question (degree of difficulty: impossible).JD Martinez's solo homer made him the 7th player to hit a postseason home run for 4 different franchises. Met content = 1 but I'd have had trouble coming up mostof the other 6.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 I'm having trouble thinking of who the Met could be!Beltran? Was Sheffield, speaking of Met content in LA long enough to pop in for a postseason?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Sheffield's a good guess: he played in the postseason/hit postseason homers with Miami, Atlanta, and the Yankees, but never with the Dodgers.Beltran played in the postseason with 5 teams but onlyhomered for 3: Houston, Mets, and Cardinals. The Met actually hit a homer with the Mets in the postseason. All are wild-card era players.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Good guess, but he only made the postseason with 3 teams: Baltimore, Texas, and the Mets.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Johnny Lunchbucket wrote:Don BaylorAlso an excellent guess. He made the postseason with 5 teams (Baltimore, Angels, Boston, Oakland, and Minnesota) but only homered for 3.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 How bout Travis d'Arnaud? I know he played briefly with the Rays and Dodgers, but I can't remember if he hit the postseason with both.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Travis did not make the postseason with the Dodgers (nor did he homer for the Rays).
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Author Posted October 10, 2023 This popped up on my Facebook memories today , still holds true
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Not Rickey. Postseason for 5 teams (OAK, TOR, SD, NYM, SEA) but homers only for Oakland and San Diego.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 My second shitty guess: Shawn Green
