Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Youmans went .250 / .308 / .333 // .641 lifetime as a hitter against Dwight Gooden, despite facing Gooden in his prime, when All-Stars had trouble touching Dwight. Youmans was a good hitting pitcher, but with Gooden, he had the advantage of growing up with the guy, getting a 12-year head start on the league in trying to figure out how to hit against him.
