Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Chris Bassitt (5-4, 3.80) goes against Verlander (2-2, 4.80) tonight as the Blue Jays come to town. They are said to have a fearsome offense but aren't doing any better than the Mets this year. In fact both clubs are 30-27.

In fact both clubs are 30-27.Sounds like Jeff McNeil. What's happening with him this season? He's having a decent season but it's all singles. This year, he's a light hitting singles hitter with no kind of power and with a decent command of the strike zone. He's kinda killing the Mets from the #3 hole.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Citi Field is always a great place to bring families, as the Mets bid a fond farewell to the children of Roger Clemens and Mark Guthrie, and welcome the children of Vladdy Guerrero, Dante Bichette, Gary Varsho, and Craig Biggio, as well as the greatnephew of Al Luplow.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2023 Author Posted June 2, 2023 As I recall it McNeil was red hot until getting moved up to No. 3. That was about Marte turning into a singles hitter.I was thinking Baty is our No. 3 guy, at least will be.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I guess you could make a case for removing McNeil from the three hole. Maybe he could use some time in the two hole
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 "Two hole" sounds pretty disgusting.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 I wish they had delayed it a little longer. Springer quickly makes it 1-0 Blue Jays after 1 batter.
