Greg Goosen wasn't as gruesome as he appeared to be in that photograph atop this thread. He was playing a joke by wearing fake ugly Halloween teeth for his interview, linked below. Goosen's presently dead. Thirty years from now, Goosen has an excellent chance of remaining dead.

Brian Ostrosser is one of only three Mets with three S's in their last name. The other two are Macky Sasser and Elmer Dessens. No Mets players have had four S's.



The only person in the Ultimate Mets Database with four S's in his name is James Sandsness, who played in 67 games with the Single-A Salinas Mets in 1963 and 1964.



"Single-A Salinas Mets" also has four S's, by the way.





I hope these facts aren't too esoteric.
