For some reason, it's "Bryse" and the Bryse will be wrong... amiright! Tyler Naquin has 2 HR's in 6 ABs against this guy. I'm expecting Bassitt to be pissed off after his last clunker. He might pitch a no-hitter.

If you had told me in Spring Training that those would be the #'s 5, 6 and 7 in the lineup down the home stretch in September, I would have bet against it.

And its time for McCann to start getting his shit together because Nido is passing him on the depth chart.

James McCann is having easily his best month of the season.

Tomás Nido, however, is welcome to pass him or anybody he wants.

Mgr. Shelton is making Hayes' in-game snack worse by not benching him today. It shows the team that there are no repercussions.

Is anyone keeping track of how many times Nimmo has been called out on strikes as he was running to first base assuming that the pitch was ball four?

Not as often as he used to is my sense of it, but of course I have no data to back that up.

Mookie is just a walking, talking, good time.

I'm watching on my laptop and I have a snapshot of Mookie on the wall right behind the screen.

Vogelboom has an augmented jersey. He has several [CROSSOUT]inches[/CROSSOUT] yards of unpinstriped material underneath his arms.

Even after Acuna's HR to give the Braves a 2 - 0 lead, they loaded the bases but left 'em there.

So still 2 - 0 in a game that's somehow already a full inning behind ours.

When Mrs. Met is moving over from the first base side to move over and entertain on the third base side, you can see her skedaddle past the tunnel behind home plate. But when Mr. Met is doing the same thing, he realizes that he's on television, and he moonwalks past the tunnel or some other antic-filled moment.

It's a pro moment. He's only onscreen for a second or two, but he knows he is and he brings the goods.

Bringing in a guy named Stout to face Vogelbach seems ... appropriate.

When Stout comes in for Pittsburgh, I feel like Terry Bradshaw has been injured.
