Taijuan Walker defends against somebody who hasn't yet been named, but likely is 0.0% Taijuanish.

The Dodgers finish up with Milwaukee while the Mets get their second no-travel day off in less than a week, kicking back at home, drinking lemonade, taking school photos of the kids.

Maybe the Dodger game will go twenty innings and they'll limp in all banged

up and whatnot. Oh wait, stupid ghost-runner rules... never mind...

The idiot who started this thread screwed up the all-important contextual details and wrote that the Dodgers were playing Milwaukee this evening. They were, in fact, taking on the Marlins in Miami.

Dodgers eke out a 3-2 win in the 10th, using five relievers to throw 5 2/3 innings, including 32 pitches over an inning and a third by Craig Kimbrel.

Walker will have to be on his game tonight.

There aren't too many soft spots in their lineup.

Only 9 starts this season for Heaney, the now 31 y/o one-time 9th overall draft pick of the Marlins, but his numbers how things are going in Dodger-land this year.

2019 ERA = 4.91 (18 Starts w/LAA)

2020 = 4.46 (12 - LAA)

2021 = 5.83 (23 - LAA & NYY)

2022 = 1.94 (all with LAD)

Funny how much performance improves with even a short time with the MFYs isn't it?

As for the weather, The Syracuse game at Scranton and the Binghamton home game have been rained out.

I fear the Mets are going to regret the poor play in that first inning: Alonso and Ruf looked bad, Lindor was not looking good in that SB attempt.

Good thing Cora was aggressive with Nimmo, not a sure thing given Mookie's arm and a short throw, otherwise they wouldn't have scored at all.

Thing I just learned by looking it up: his given name isn't really Trumpet!! (it's Smith)
