Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 More than a bit lucky.Braves go to the pen but stay lefthanded.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Acuña here getting the full count has been the Braves best plate appearance. And he pops to short center.Seventy-four pitches through six. Can't ask for better.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Can we just go straight from Max to Diaz?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 We have had too many baserunners in this game to only have two runs.Need to tack on.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 I'd have to think he's on a 90-95 pitch limit tonight, and he's at 74 through 6.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Yeah, it's a one-batter-at-a-time thing. But at this point, each batter he gets out pretty much crosses another reliever off of the we-might-need-him list.I'd just like to cross a few off with our batters. Seven hits, five walks, and a hit batsman and two runs? That's the sort of think that makes me antsy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Swanson hitting one to the wall in the gap also makes me antsy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 And Riley takes a big chunk out of the margin for error.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Well, Max is prone to giving up home runs. And with that Ozuna ball, perhaps he's running out of gas.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Got Ozuna with an inside fastball and an inside change to get ahead. Coming back in to him a third time was recklessness. I think we're on his last batter for certain.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Sweet ending, but that's probably it.Need three outs in the eighth, probably out of Otto.Let's get some runz!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Finishes with a flourish, but concerned about getting these next 6 outs.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 YEAH!!!I was about to question them bringing in O'Day with three of the next four hitters lefthanded, but Guillorme questioned it for me.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Looked like Neato landed hard on the bag running to first there.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 SNY booth talking as if Diaz's availability is a mystery. This seems like an obvious answer. He threw 7 pitches in the 9th yesterday. If you weren't preserving his availability for today, you'd have pitched him in the 10th yesterday.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Acuña is up as the tying run.Do. Not. Like.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 After that inning I need a couple of glasses of tart cherry juice.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 I need a couple of glasses of something.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 With the power on this team, the next inning has a good chance to be just as hairy.Tack. On. Now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Let's take this dude to some place he's never been before ... like maybe a salad bar.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Francisco Lindor gets "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay."
