roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 I think that was Nido's second caught stealing of the season.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 De La Cruz walks.Bezes loaded.Tying run on third.Go-ahead on second.Tight spot for Lugo.I BELIEVE in Lugo, but this is where convention works against managers. Buck should be going to his top reliever here, if he's available.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Lugo time. Bases loaded, only one away.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Too bad Mrs. Lugo didn't go into labor before the game started.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Please come back Trevor May.Please take out Lugo.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Lugo put a dent in my Father's Day joy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Alcantara looks gassed himself now. Everything is up.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Gittin' it done to the opposite field. Keep doin' that.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 He looked tired but then he got to face 8-9 in the order and Buck kept JD and Canha on the bench.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 It's the 8th inning and SNY is treating the game like it's Spring Training. Pathetic.---------Gary: "the replay coordinator missed it."OR, perhaps the umpire could have done his job and gotten the call right as he is paid to do.

roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Escobar's AB was awful. Like I said yesterday, the pitcher couldn't throw a strike to save his life, and he's swinging at shit out of the strike zone. Big lead, throw strikes, for fuck's sake.

Down 4 you have to look ahead and you don't want Nido up as the tying run with 2 outs. Not Buck's best day. That's certainly the way I was thinking.I was also under the impression that Buck figured the lefty would be out of the game if and when Nido came up, so he would have Mazeika against a righthander. But you need baserunners before you get the tying run up there. Letting Guillorme try to get on against an ineffectively wild lefty, and following that with Cahna and hopefully Tying-Run Davis seemed like the way to go, and a smarter play than trying to use those two guys to load the bases for Nido or Zeke as the tying run.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 Why were they swinging at the wild crap he was tossing? You're down four runs. You need baserunners, and this guy's handing them to you on a platter. Take them, fuck rice ache. Don't deserve to win this one.
