I don't want to make a thing of it because I'm glad he's OK too, but OK is a real relative term after a wreck like that. Young Edgy came out of a smashup that left him clean as far as the x-ray machines were concerned, but the system shock echoed through his body for weeks. Couldn't breathe comfortably for a while. It's like your body doesn't trust you, which isn't ideal for an athlete facing 100-mph heat.

Hopefully having a dozen airbags these days will make it less traumatic than

your experience. I'm sure more will be written about this the next day or so so

I'm just gonna leave things and be happy happy happy everyone's ok.

Every time I see news like this I think of Brian Cole.

Glad to see this result.

I was thinking the same thing. You don't really know how he's doing psychologically.

When I rolled my Jeep in an ice storm a few years ago, the first State Trooper on the scene helped me out of the car and asked "How do you feel?"

I said, "I feel ok".

The Trooper said, "Well, you look like shit. I'm calling an ambulance".

They took me to the hospital for X-Rays and overnight observation.

Did they do the same for Alonso?
