Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Taking this one in from the field level near the 🍎 in center field. Stroman opposes veteran RHP Charlie Morton in a matchup of 6-game winners.Morton defeated the Mets just over a month ago in Atlanta, holding them to 2 hits over 6, although the Mets batted Maybin 3rd in that one so all bets are off.Stro has yet to face ATL but really hasn't had a poor game yet

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Author Posted June 22, 2021 McKinney over McKonforto. Ok
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 They just said on SNY that Conforto isn't available tonight with some rostershuffling going on and more to follow tomorrow?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Author Posted June 22, 2021 That sucks. Plus I just got to Citi and it's pouring.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Author Posted June 22, 2021 Rain stopped, game at 730. Just ran into Cookie Mom
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 First pitch 7:35 according to the SNY scrolly bar gods...
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Author Posted June 22, 2021 Yennsy anyone? You can't spell Yennsy without SNY
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Holy shit. This is ridiculous.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 I keep getting fooled by Yennsy. Everytime I see him, I realizing that he's bigger than I expect a Yennsy to be.That said, he doesn't look like he loosened up very thoroughly.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Thank you for swinging at garbage, RA, Jr.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Ay caramba. What an inning.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 I had to leave and do something outside and came back to see 0-0 still.Almost couldn't believe my eyes! Wow...
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 The escape that inning was very Yennsely done.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Not so Yennseley done that time. And when you consider that we haven't scored more than three runs in like 20 straight games now (number might not be entirely accurate) we're in deep doo-doo here (or is it deep du-du?)We also don't have, y'know, one of those hit things yet
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 It's disappointing to hear Keef talking about the universal DH as a fait accompli.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 No hitter going, and the Mets are now using their second pinch-hitting pitcher of the game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Strange that we're in the seventh inning, and the only runs in the game were set up by using the shift.Stranger that Morton has utterly owned them all night. They've consistent swung at balls and looked at strikes.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Just a terrific night for Morton. Pillar should have to drive him back to the hotel.
