bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Too bad that Pete couldn't check his swing to make contact with the ball.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 (edited) Gary Thorne to sub for Gary during the Mets series in Pittsburgh... or did Keith mean Gary "I SUCK AT BROADCASTING" Apple? Edited June 16, 2021 by Guest

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Finally, someone compared Rizzo to Rusty.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Nope, totally not Buddy with Eddie.Kind of weird that he's in a stadium seat and not a private skybox.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Castro had the slider working that inning, damn
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Glad to see Methead.Room's been dead since they lifted Jake, man.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Author Posted June 16, 2021 Where the hell has this Trevor May been hiding?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Drew Smith, nobody asked you to make it interesting.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Ortega turned that meatball into taco stuffing
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I can definitely see the Mets trading for Rich Rodriguez (PIT) or Kendall Graveman (SEA) by the trade deadline.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Author Posted June 16, 2021 Lotta fun, except for the un-fun mystery chapter.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 It's kind of shittish that they had to use Diaz in a game they led 6-1 in the 9th, but I guess four pitches isn't too bad.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Jake says he's confident that this is nothing ... in a less-than-confident manner.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Trevor May not be as awful as we feared.

He's been bringing that all season, even when he was hitting at his worst.I've been pretty liberal with praising Lindor's play, but you know what I'm not seeing? I'm not seeing him bust it to first, and last night, it probably cost the team a baserunner.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2021 Author Posted June 17, 2021 I usually have big giant rabbit ears for such things and I haven't noticed that.I'll have to tweak my antennae going forward.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 The Fields made it out to Citi for the first time since 2019. Thoughts on the game!!!!*No masks. No social distancing. Indoors or outdoors (though we didn't go into a club). No one asked us for a vaccination card. If you're not fully vaccinated, I would be very wary of going.*Atmosphere was electric for the first three innings. I've never experienced anything like it. Except for maybe a stray solo shot, the Cubs had no chance of scoring. Absolute dominance.*In this age of social media, everyone knew right away that Jake went down into the tunnel. Euphoria from striking out the side, to everyone head down checking twitter. Missed the Dom HR because I was looking at my phone.*the crowd absolutely loves Villar and Pillar. These guys are OPS-ing .764 and .719. That doesn't sound that impressive, but they seem to play better than their numbers. Great pickups.*Was shitty to have to bring in Diaz in that game, but it's great to see the crowd greet him so well. I don't know this trumpet song at all, but it seems to get everyone jazzed up.
