I generally like the NEIPAs, that one was was way too "pillowy" as you described. I also suspected it might been skunked a little, just wasn't for me.

If I make it to a Tuesday game in the new few weeks I'll sneak you something better, lol. I might actually try this coming Tuesday, though it's the last day of school so we might 'celebrate'.

The care of beer at stadiums is rumored to be pretty terrible, though it shouldn't have skunked in a can unless you poured it into a clear glass, and then it's technically on you.

looks like deGrom has mostly been switching off catchers, no discernible pattern.

going backwards for Nido's last starts

Lucchesi, Peterson, deGrom, STroman, Stroman, deGrom, Peterson, Lucchesi, Stroman.

Cubs rather tardy on posting a lineup, gonna stop checking... maybe Stock doesn't exist.

Cubs apparently delayed in the hope that Kris Bryant could answer the bell.

  1. Joc Pederson (L) LF

  2. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B

  3. Javier Baez ® SS

  4. Ian Happ (S) CF

  5. Patrick Wisdom ® 3B

  6. Rafael Ortega (L) RF

  7. Eric Sogard (L) 2B

  8. José Robotron (S) C

  9. Robert Stock (L) P

I haven't seen Robert Stock that much since Unsolved Mysteries and i assumed he was dead at the present time.

The slider is looking a little slurvy tonight.

I don't mean that in a bad way. There's just more vertical drop.

Yeah I saw Eddie Krane in the krowd. That couldn't possibly possibly have been Buddy (?!) next to him, right?

Crap. CRAP! And he got 3 runs, too. This is hindsight but perhaps he shouldn't have made this start and gone on the IL 5 days ago.

Szapucki is pitching tonight so he's on schedule to pitch in 5 days but he hasn't been great tonight.

7 of the 9 SYR players tonight, including Conforto, have played for the Mets this season.

I think of guys pulling themselves out of a game when they're pitching brilliantly, I think of J.R. Richard in his last year or two.

It feels like DeGrom has been things his body really isn't meant to do. Maybe he needs to dial it down somehow and give up being Superman. DeGrom 2018 should be enough for anyone.
