Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2021 Posted April 26, 2021 What's with the Red Sox? They were last in the AL East last year, and while I know a 60-game season isn't particularly representative, they actually looked like a last-place team when the Mets played 'em?So now they're back on top. Are they the same team? Is Alex Cora just that good a skipper?Educate me!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Same team. They are hitting, for now.I have to believe the Red Sox were partly done in by the nature of the 2020 season.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 They were like the Mets a little bit last year in just badly underperforming. They have some good ballplayers but didn't succeed.Starting pitching is an underlying concern. Tonight's starter, Garrett Richards, really needs to sing for his supper. He's one of those lanky guys who gets mechanically screwed up.Red Sox lead the league in Franchyness.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 I wonder if JD will play the field or just pinch hit.
