DANGIT, quit takin' my girl, Edge

I'll go with Daryl the Late, Ton of Hamil. One of those 23s?

Edgy's just about iced this competition with a Mr Sparkle bonus shot. Also I left the correct (BONUS) Boston guess off from above.

So last 3:

A one season+ regular

A one-season only regularish-ish guy

A regular corner outfielder who did enough centerfielding over the course of a mutiyear Met run to qualify

1. Mookie 907 (Willets)

2. Beltran 723 (Ben Grimm)

3. Lagares 658 (Edgy)

4. Agee 591 (Sharpie)

5. Mazzilli 572 (Edgy)

6. Dykstra 493 (Edgy)

7. Payton 330 (Edgy+ Bonus!!)

8. McRae 282 (Edgy)

9. Pagan 278 (sharpie)

10. Cleon Jones 269 (MFS62)

T11. Hickman 268 (MFS62)

T11. Don Hahn 268 (Ben Grimm)

13. Ryan Thompson 238 (LWFS)

14. Lance Johnson 223 (LWFS)

15.

16. Darryl Boston 198 (LWFS+ bonus!!)

17. Timo Perez 157 (Willets)

18. Nimmo 147 (Ben Grimm)

19. Conforto 146 (Willets)

20. Mike Cameron 145 (Frayed Knot)

21.

22.

23. Shinjo 103 (Edgy+ bonus)

--

Off the list:

Coleman 27th--91 games (Edgy)

Strawberry 52nd-48 games (Ben Grimm)

Ashburn 45th--54 games (Sharpie)

Mays 26th-- 95 games (Willets)

Hamilton 34th --78 games (LWFS)

Just on the verge of clinching, that'll cost ya. Kevin Mac played but 34 times in Centerfield. Fewer than Gene Clines!! Less than Luplow and Dunkin and Austin Jackson!

New Ween House, of Clan Kirk! [He says assuredly!]

Play him at fullback, slap #22 on his rack

DAMMIT. That Grandy guess is a good one.

As for my next turn... the Butler did it? (#22)

Everett just misses at 25th (96 games), Butler is 28th (90 games).

The 2 left are in my opinion the two hardest to remember.

One guy did well upon his arrival from a rival NL East franchise, then flopped the next year. The other guy stunk out of the box in a trade that really stunk out of the box.

ding ding ding ding ding.

Thank you for playing PUT ME IN, COACH: The Center Field Kwiz Brought To You By Rich Chiles Entrerprises and the Ultimate Mets Database!

Our final talley (not reliable)

Edgy 5 right (3 points each), 10 bonus points (5 points each), -6 wrong answer points (3 @ 2 each) = 19 points total

Willets = 10 points

Ben Grimm = 4 points

Sharpie = 6 points

MFS 62 = 6 points

Gfafiff = 12 points (I reduced the value of the bonus points)

LWFS = 5 points

FK = 3 points

I just lurked on this kwiz, but I would have bet good money that you were talking about Juan Samuel here.

That was my first instinct but coming over in mid-June meant playing 100 games in center was unlikely.
