Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 The Mets are likely going north with six infielders, and I'm the likely seventh.Waddaya do? You try harder. And while my 0-3 today didn't help my cause, I lead all of Florida in TRYING, OK? I have six seasons and 47 big league homers under my belt, and perhaps with that extra roster spot at the team's disposal, I wanna hear them call my name. Please call my name.Fun fact, I was once playing for the Yankees and taken out of the game because of blurred vision and migraines. That was the official reason, anyhow. The real diagnosis was adverse reaction to being a Yankee.I think being a Met will be different. And you are here to say how different. GET UP BALL!! GET UP! GET UP!!
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Enjoys touring the Thousand Islands on his days off at Syracuse. It will be his chance to get into Cooperstown, as a paying customer.Nothing Major league Metly this year.Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 19, 2021 Author Posted March 19, 2021 Brandon not getting a call for Drury duty would likely mean a delightful outbreak of health in the Mets infield this year.Either that or a substantial total of Tovar, or perhaps a piñata full of Peraza. But hey, Danny Garcia never got a callup either.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Or it means plenty of contribution from the Villars and Guillormes already likely claiming a bench spot.I think he gets a call up for, like, a week and a half when Davis gets a ding on his dong. He'll get a hit in 5 ABs-- twice as PH, one day-game-after-night-game start. We'll forget he was a Met by October. (Grimm will forget by, like, August.)
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 I like Drury duty. But can he hit the ball with his rhythm stick?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Predict he comes to the house and I grill him a burger and he puts tomatoes but not lettuce or onions on it and I silently judge him for his toppings choice.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Needs some sautéed mushroom as well, but nothing Metly in 2021.
