The Mets have acquired lefty starter Joey Lucchesi in a three way deal in which San Diego gets righty Joe Musgrove from Pittsburgh.

Lucchesi makes Matz redundant, which make you wonder why he was tendered a contract in the first place. I suppose it's possible that they see one of them as being long relief/extra left arm, but they have a full pen of righties under contract and don't have a first lefty yet.

Nothing about that in Baseball-reference, and they're usually pretty good about having relatives in the bio.
