kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 I'm putting this in the baseball forum because I know some avoid the NBF, etc.I enjoyed our Zoom meeting some time ago but it's not really in our budget toopen a Zoom account. I learned this morning that Google Meet is free and sup-posedly just as good.Anyone have any experience? Do you have to use Chrome? Does it work on Apple?

If we're going over an hour on a Google Meat™, Fman better be getting tips.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I pay for Zoom to go beyond an hour, if that is an option.
vtmet7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 we use google meet at work, as long as you have a google account it shouldn't matter whether you are using Apple, Windows, Android or a Chromebook...

The free thing came up on a high schoolfb discussion page (40th reunion was to be this weekend) and the popular kids aretrying to set up a few happy hours and such. 'Free' and '250' seemed too good tobe true.CPF wise, I guess the next question is does anyone have GSuite and willing to use it?
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Sorry that link might have confused issues. GSuite isn't required. Looks like you just need a google account and away we go.Here's all the good stuff. https://apps.google.com/meet/https://apps.google.com/meet/
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 I just meant (I think) GSuite subscribers can host a meeting (without time restraints) and invite anyone with a link.

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 Right, unintentionally glossed over SMG's post up there. Let's discuss an October meeting on Zoom if that's ok with SMG?
