So after we got two on w/one out in the 7th: GiDP - K - K - GO - K - PO - K ... and I bet the whole sequence didn't take a total of 20 pitches.

Only the pop-out left the infield although it was caught by an infielder so that doesn't really count either.

This game turned on Alonso's bedshot of a pinch hitting appearance. The McNeil DP also, but that was hardly a failure.



Wasted good pitching and good fielding. Rojas needs to get these guys out of this winning allergy

Porcello pitched well. Take away that second pitch HR he was lights out

Tack on another 0-4 to a RiSP that was at .213 before the game began

And w/2 outs and RiSP it was .139 so now that's lower too.

I'd add Ramos' K in the 1st inning with the bases loaded and McNeil hitting into a DP with 1st and 2d. When you are this bad there are many shitty options to choose from.

Yeah, but a lot of good pitching and fielding kept them right in it and one bounce away for most of the last seven innings.



I demand a philosophical review of the hitting approach.
