Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 It's our time to shine, boys. Scherzer vs Porcello. 7:10 first pitch.(Yes, I used this IGT title last year. It still makes me giggle. I'm like that.)
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I'll leave the ass-eating to you. I think I'll just passively watch the game.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 This was the same (seemingly lopsided) pitching matchup from six days ago, a game which the Mets won 3-1. Porcello was terrific for 7 innings and Lugo just as good over the final 2.Scherzer, on the other hand, struggled through the 1st (1 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 27 pitches) then left with a "Tight Hamstring" (not sure whether it was his blue hamstring or his brown one).Nats have so far played only AL East teams (3-6) and the Mets (2-1) -- no Braves, no Marlins, no Phillies, and also no BoSox -- and even with last night's outburst, they're still near the bottom of both leagues in RS/G
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Porcello gets porked on pitch #2
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Ramos is not running with the role of "designated veteran" in this lineup.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Nimmo stretching Scherzer here is something. But let's win this one.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Great turn at bat by Zimmo but I'd really like to see some ass guzzling
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Author Posted August 11, 2020 Hanging in there. The ass is served up on a platter. Its time to dig in boys
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Is this a new cap the Mets are wearing? Blue crown and brim, orange NY with white border and orange button? Does this cap go with the blue jerseys?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I'm highly unimpressed by the amount of ass we've been able to eat.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Gimenez tripled and nearly homered! Off of Scherzer! He might be good!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 And Luis Guillorme gets the first mouthful of buttocks, scoring Gimenez on the sac fly.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Two super DPs by the Gimmy Guilly infield
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Like the 4th dinky cue-shot National hit tonight... gets erased by a clinical DP (against Trea Turner, no less). It's shocking how refreshing even moderately-good defense is from this team.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Gimmy is absolutely gobbling some ass tonight
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Let the munching begin
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Guimo with a lucky double. Alonso to pinch-ass-eat for Hamilton
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Soto is a marvelous hitter but he's a sub-par fielder at best.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 "The Mets are threatening, but it feels like they've been threatening for about three weeks."— Wayne Randazzo
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Whatever we need, whenever we need it ... we get the exact opposite.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 It would be really sweet to steal this one. All it would seemingly take is one thing to go right.Conforto forgetting to run on strike three = not something going right.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 I don't think that he forgot, I think that he thought it was a ball and the ump got around to calling it a strike as it was halfway to the backstop and Conforto's mind went elsewhere.
