I have missed this entire week's slate of games, as I've been up in the Adirondacks on vacation with the family all week and we have no TV up here to watch. And from the reading I've done maybe this isn't such a bad thing.

Wacha vs Touki Toussaint. A 7:10 PM start and I'll be watching for sure (we're driving home in a few hours).

The weird thing is to think we're kind of watching spring training play here, and if there is a season, the first place team might not be the best, but simply the one who got their rust off in eight games, rather than fifteen or sixteen.

You just have a feeling that someone named Touki Toussaint will be a thorn in our side for many years to come.

True. But so what, when more than half the teams will qualify for the playoffs.

Camaro may not be a great fielding third baseman, but boy can he get around the bases fast.

Or release about 30 albums of New Orleans classics with his Jambalaya All-Stars before his 40th birthday. (Though none of those albums would truly capture how much the band smoked live!)

I don't think designating Cespedes as a wet-back based on his immigrant status is the right way to go here, particularly in today's political climate.

So that's now 21 of the 49 runs allowed by the NYM staff so far this season that have come with 2 outs

These two were after two were out and none on and a 1-2 count.

The Mets have scored 11 runs this season (8 games + 2 innings) with two outs.

The Braves have scored 10 two-out runs in their last 10 innings!! ... five of their 11 Friday night runs (including the game winners) plus all five so far tonight.

When's deGrom's next start?

Who cares, we have won a game when he starts in about a year and a half!

Not that we've earned any breaks here or deserved any better, but has an opponent hit a bloop or a swinging bunt so far this season that hasn't dropped in?

If they hit 'en hard, it's a hit. If they hit 'em soft, it's a hit.

There's a bit of correlation between the incidence of these things and how shitty your team is at getting to and catching balls in flight.

That can be a factor, sure. But it seems like I've seen more fisted pieces o' shit flares that three Usain Bolts couldn't get within 30 feet of, or dribblers that you know are hits by bounce #2
