It's always a point of pride to stick with a blowout until the bitter end, but man, it felt like the park was empty in the last few innings tonight.



I know that once upon a time, something good must've happened to the Mets during a regular season Sunday night game broadcast on ESPN. Probably more than once. But it feels like no, never has any such thing occurred.

Camping all week up in the Adirondacks with no cell signal and a shaky wifi network. And so I missed all of this and it seems like that's maybe not such a bad thing.

Beyond a "normal" greatness from deGrom and an admirable effort from Matz we know we can't get every time, we have been simply uncompetitive in all 5 games I've seen so far, and "on pace" for my predicted 20-40 finish!
