Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 It's always a point of pride to stick with a blowout until the bitter end, but man, it felt like the park was empty in the last few innings tonight.I know that once upon a time, something good must've happened to the Mets during a regular season Sunday night game broadcast on ESPN. Probably more than once. But it feels like no, never has any such thing occurred.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Camping all week up in the Adirondacks with no cell signal and a shaky wifi network. And so I missed all of this and it seems like that's maybe not such a bad thing.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Beyond a "normal" greatness from deGrom and an admirable effort from Matz we know we can't get every time, we have been simply uncompetitive in all 5 games I've seen so far, and "on pace" for my predicted 20-40 finish!
