Because stupid and mean is right in Jeff's wheelhouse.

kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 [bLOCKQUOTE]The Mets are one of the most fleabitten franchises in MLB.[/bLOCKQUOTE]This made me laugh, haven't heard the term flea-bitten in some time. Dang tarnation!
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 For context, there are Major League spring training facilities across Florida that are use by Florida State League teams. Do we know if the other teams allow the minor league players to use the Major League clubhouse? If they are doing what every other team does ....
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 They* built a 57 million dollar facility, including a locker room with the exact same lockers and chairs in them for the PSL Mets. Let's not pretend that those guys aren't much better off, facility wise, than they were last year. But this is also elitist nonsense. When they have guys rehabbing in Single A games, is like, Jed Lowrie gonna dress by himself in the big clubhouse while the rest of the team is in the other not quite as nice but still really nice clubhouse?
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 This is why the Wilpons Wilpon. Because the world lets them. The New York Mets have unveiled a $57m spring training facility....The Mets only paid $2m of the bill for the upgrade, with St Lucie taxpayers picking up the rest. The new clubhouse will only be used for six weeks a year.
