Two player options, from MLBTR. Don't know the numbers yet. I'd be OK with that if the guaranteed money is relatively small.

“I love New York,” Betances said in a release. “I grew up in Manhattan. Went to high school in Brooklyn. Played minor league ball in Staten Island. Made it to the big leagues in the Bronx. Now, I'm excited to go win a World Series with the Mets in Queens. Thanks to Fred and Jeff, Brodie, and all the other Mets staff who worked so hard to make possible this next step in my New York journey. Merry ChristMets! Let's Go METS!”

Part of me-- not the best part, admittedly-- looks at this, and thinks... Pedro Feliciano in reverse.

That said, it's a granite-solid, unimpeachable move. If 2 of Diaz/Familia/Betances bounce back to, like, 80 percent of previous career norms, and the rest of the bullpen gives us even league-average innings, this bullpen is significantly better than it was last year... and the realistic ceiling is much higher than that.

Meaning Betances goes from NYY to NYM (reverse) and goes from being good to being out of this world awesome? (also reverse)

If he's healthy, awesome. But the Yanks giving up on him makes you wonder.

not really. They're sorta tapped out financially. They basically succeeded without him last year, so why bother?

Knowing what we know about the baseball itself and what we DON'T (and what we don't think MLB seems to know either) about the baseball next year is going to be so pivotal.

But barring him being just completely shot, he should at least be useful even if he's not.

He's one of the lowest contact guys in the league, and actually somehow isn't slow about it. He's near tops in Pace too.
