Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Re$igns with Mets
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2019 Author Posted December 6, 2019 1 year 850k with an option.I thought this guy was ok, especially for one junked by a contender.Good move, Brodie!!!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Terrible WHIP the last two seasons. Historically the splits are not as drastic as we saw. But still a great low risk move. If he can recapture any of the magic of 2014-2017 he'll be a big help. Stuff seems to be there.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 14.2 IP with the Mets, but would've been his lowest BB% ever. Seems like the Mets basically instructed him to just throw strikes.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2019 Author Posted December 6, 2019 Looks like Flexy was whacked from the 40-man to make room.Too bad for him. Had a world of opportunity to step up but didn't
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 LOW-risk moves on relievers with a resumé. Perhaps Brodie is learning something.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 This does not displease me.

Has the stuff to potentially be a good reliever if they stopped jerking him around. Good candidate to go Heath Bell on us.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 There were tweets that Flexen is Korea-bound so his "whacking" may have been self-imposed (as most whackings are... "this is a family show, stop it!").https://twitter.com/MarcCarig/status/1203499679020916737https://twitter.com/MarcCarig/status/1203499679020916737
