G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 By my calculations, the Mets have won 54 games that qualify as Openers in the Season, Home or Split Season sense. Read about each of them http://www.faithandfearinflushing.com/2020/03/20/every-mets-opening-win-ranked/here.By everybody's calculations, Pete Alonso of the Mets hit 53 home runs in 2019. Relive each of them as they happened through the magic of words http://www.faithandfearinflushing.com/2020/03/25/for-petes-sake/here.Looking forward to the Mets' 55th Opening-type win and Alonso's 54th career homer whenever they can be arranged.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 All this Coronavirus is really delaying Alonso's climb up the Mets all-time homerun list.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 The thought crossed my mind today that maybe Covid-19 is god's punishment for Nike swooshes on the uniforms.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 I watched a little bit of the SNY "MLB The Show 2020" version of Opening Day today. It just kinda made me sad that it wasn't the real thing.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Did anyone play this one out electronically?
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Not me. But at midnight, you can re-live Opening Day 1994 and watch Tuffy Rhodes take Doc deep, and deep and.deep.It's all happening on the MLB network.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 If you play this season out electronically do you do it from the point that play stopped in the spring, or from Day One?In other words, It's Syndergaard digitally injured also?

That's what I ham-handedly referred to earlier. It was 2-2 in the 6th when I turned it off; don't know how it ended.
