The Indians are beaten in three games straight. Another team comes to Citifield, that for better or worse, is named in reference to Native Americans.

I really don't like the Braves. The Braves sucked gas in the 1969 Playoffs as they still do today. do the Mets have trouble beating the Braves? Maybe

That stops tonight. Met bats get a look at pitcher Mike Foltynewicz. Mikey has regressed from whatever good form he showed about two years ago.

He really has trouble throwing strikes. Good

The Mets do give up 90 to the Braves in DRS runs scored

Jacob deGrom throws strike, consistently.

deGrom busts inside and Alonso busts out tonight

Tomahawk the Braves!

I'm going to label this one a "Big Game", not only for the benefit that would come from winning a game against the Braves, but also from avoiding the negative aspect of a series-opening loss with deGrom on the mound.

Nice job MLB, big game and the players are wearing ballet outfits and long underwear.

I'm usually OK with ML B having some fun with special uniforms. But these are stupid.

Of all the negative advance notice about Pete Alonso's defense, his biggest problem has turned out to be overaggressiveness to his right side.

That's got to be at least the fourth play just in the last few weeks where he dove for a ball, which he then either muffed or deflected, that

looked like it could be handled by the 2nd baseman had he let it go.

This is unwatchable. I can't look at these uniforms.

Force yourself. They may be ugly uniforms, but one of them is wrapped around Jacob deGrom. And he is dealing. Seven strikeouts in a row.

Not for nothing, but when the trainer is checking the player to see if he's knocked silly, the manager probably shouldn't be there.
