Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Not for nothing but this could be a Big Game, inasmuch as having additional Big Games is dependent on another W tonight.Get it and we'll capture SD in the standings. We're actually on the verge of 2 additional captures, being a half-game behind Cincy and 1 behind Colorado so if things break right we can knock some 18 net-games back in the WC tonight. Then look ahead. So maybe it is a Big Game.We have the bump advantage as Syndy opposes RHP Dinelson Lamet (0-2, 5.14) who should really be working for us.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 it's 89.2% in the zone.he's making contact at 82.1% over those thirty days.Robinson Cano is making contact at 84.5% (54.7% swing)league average is 76.3%
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 He can swing all he wants as long as he keeps getting base hits.....
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Well, that's the concern. The more he swings, the more he's going to get pitches to chase.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 The Mets aren't baseballing very good tonight.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 But getting out of that top-7th scoreless keeps us very much in the game.Gotta stop looking at strike-threes down the middle though.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Familia doing one of his: 'I'm not going to retire anyone' acts tonight.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Brodie should be fired for the Familia contract alone:https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/new-york-mets/jeurys-familia-11524/https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/new-york-mets/jeurys-familia-11524/
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Author Posted July 24, 2019 I had such hopes for the SHaMs
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Having changed the manager after miserable 2017 and the general manager following dismal 2018, the next logical step would be to change the ownership. Selling would be the classy thing for the Wilpons to do. Or, better yet, letting the team roam free.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 So, in a nutshell, what happened?
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Never mind just looked at boxscore. Who in THEE hell are these new bullpen schlubs. Okay I have long been bitching about overuse of the bullpen. When are they going to learn?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 I have to say, there's nobody I feel less secure about seeing up in a big spot these days than Conforto.I mean, I feel better seeing Nido up there. Crazy, right?
