He's a really nice guy! From the Grand Rapids area, coached at a local college for many years, was the manager of the West Michigan Whitecaps (Midwest-A) and was gracious enough to participate in an online chat I hosted at my former newspaper about that year's Hall of Fame vote -- which I believe my favorite baseball blogger also participated in.
