He starred as a minor leaguer and flew through. He was on the verge of the big leagues and on the Pads' 40-man roster when back surgery derailed the whole magilla.



As a corner infielder, he named his son after Brooks Robinson. He was, in fact, set to fully name him Brooks Robinson Pounders, when Mom put her foot down, so he settled for the more Metly moniker of Brooks Casey Pounders.
