The Marlins suck and beating them is expected. Whether tonight is just another win or a GOOD win for me is now going to depend on whether the Mets can rest their overtaxed bullpen and get 9 more outs with the interchangeable AAA express guys and not using the better relievers needlessly

Surprising that Mattingly was able to get the last five innings out of two pitchers. Good for him.



I don't know why he's putting up with this disgrace. I realize there are only 30 MLB managing jobs, but he should either be resigning or publicly criticizing ownership.



And yeah, that blue-on-black thing is just a terrible look for the Marlins — a team that knows a thing or two about terrible looks. Their new home togs that they wore when the Mets were in Miami were smart and classic right out of the box. How could the same designers have failed so badly trying to translate those features to a road uni?
