Zonked on the couch with the TV on in the 3rd inning, awoke every time Gary's voice raised, so when Alonso homered and when Diaz had the bases loaded and 1 out. Was terrified I'd never get back to sleep had Rosey not made the last play. It says something that even coming out of a deep sleep I'm worried when the ball is hit to him.

I was very worried that not pinch-running for Ramos in the 7th was gonna screw us. Thankfully Andy Green returned the favor and left Warren in to face our 3-4-5 hitters in the 9th inning of a tie game. He'd already burned 4 relievers in the game, so I get it, but I'd want my stud against their studs in that spot. Thanks, Andy! Thanks, Pete!

And that's why I was grateful he went to the pen after only 4 1/3.



You can build a pen of 5 relievers or 10 relievers, but the number of guys you are going to trust with the game on the line remains the same.
