Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Did Canó's 2,500th break the Mets offense again?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I see Renfroe, I see FranceI see Noah's underpants.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Mets may want to stack their defense at the warning track.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I don't like Rosario's game too much, but I have to say, he hits it hard.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I resent the Padres for not retiring Piazza's number.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Every Ramos AB these days looks like he was mildly drugged pregame.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Game tied!!Nimmo good again!!Ramos still torpid!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Adam Warren in to pitch for the Pirates. The Mets had him AAA once, but they used him exclusively in the outfield.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Nice job cutting to Paddick making a stinky face in the Pads' dugout.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 SHMOKES Hosmer, and the Pads are down to their last out, with the sacks full.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Holy crap. The game ends on a hard grounder to Rosario's right that I was almost certain he'd fumble.Put it in the books. The holy books.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Thought Diaz would choke it up, lucky to get away with one here.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I'd like to thank Andy Green for pulling his starting pitcher after 4 1/3 innings and 86 pitches.Apparently, after four games coming off the bench for the 2009 Mets, Greenie knows where his true loyalties lay.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Zonked on the couch with the TV on in the 3rd inning, awoke every time Gary's voice raised, so when Alonso homered and when Diaz had the bases loaded and 1 out. Was terrified I'd never get back to sleep had Rosey not made the last play. It says something that even coming out of a deep sleep I'm worried when the ball is hit to him.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I was very worried that not pinch-running for Ramos in the 7th was gonna screw us. Thankfully Andy Green returned the favor and left Warren in to face our 3-4-5 hitters in the 9th inning of a tie game. He'd already burned 4 relievers in the game, so I get it, but I'd want my stud against their studs in that spot. Thanks, Andy! Thanks, Pete!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 And that's why I was grateful he went to the pen after only 4 1/3.You can build a pen of 5 relievers or 10 relievers, but the number of guys you are going to trust with the game on the line remains the same.Plus ... day game today!
